Paul's latest painting, "Beth" is complete
Just got this in email from Gerard at the Celebrites Gallery:
With "Beth" the last of the four portraits featuring the Original members of his band, Paul Stanley closes the Kiss circle.
Originally titled "Beck" after the nickname of songwriter Stan
Penridge's girlfriend Becky. The title was changed to "Beth" after Peter and producer Bob Ezrin wrote the additional lyrics. Although this was not typical of their sound, and originally intended to be a B side on the album Destroyer "Beth" become Kiss's biggest hit, and one of the rare ballads for the band.

New art from Paul: Shock Me
We just received this today from Gerard's gallery. Here is what he wrote:
After "Love Gun" and "God Of Thunder", we are please to introduce "Shock Me" the new released Ace Frehley's portrait by Paul Stanley .
With this painting, Paul amazingly capture the tender sadness in Ace's eyes. KISS lead guitar player joined the band in 1973, and wrote a hand full of classic hit including "Cold Gin" and "Strange Ways". He waited until 1977 and the Album "Love Gun", to perform his signature song "Shock Me".
Today Paul paid tribute to KISS's " Space Man" with this vibrant portrait of his band mate .
The limited edition print, will be available in three weeks .

The latest from Paul: God Of Thunder
This is the latest in a series from Paul, of the band members. This one is obviously Gene, titled God Of Thunder. Gerard Marti was kind enough to give us the first peek. It will be available at Gerard's gallery. Here is his write up:
"Known as Gene Simmons's signature song, "God Of Thunder " was
actually written by Paul Stanley .
Paul wrote the song as a up-tempo number for himself, but Bob Ezrin
who produced the Album "Destroyer " decided that Gene should sing it .
On the record the tempo is much slower, plodding, and menacing, but
Gene still made it a hit around the world .
Today Paul gives us another vision of his "God Of Thunder " with
this Original painting also available as limited edition of 300
prints signed and numbered."

I just got this via email from Gerard Marti. I think it's very powerful. It's called The Scream.

For more on Paul's art, check out an interview Paul did for Warren Lapine in the current issue of The KISS Quarterly Magazine. It's titled "The Painter's KISS: The Art of Paul Stanley." Click here to read it.
As we reported on Aug 24th, Paul's second art show, that was to be held that night, had to be postponed. As we wait to get word of a rescheduled date, I received an email from Gerard with another painting from Paul - Hand On Fire.

From the press release on Paul’s art exhibition:
~The Painter’s KISS~
A visionary and trend setter since the early 1970’s, Paul Stanley’s passion for both the musical and visual arts has perhaps been the key to the astonishing ongoing world phenomenon known as KISS. As the band enters it’s 30th year with over 70 million albums sold, they stand as the #1 all-time record holders for most gold albums by an American group and are currently in the midst of a sold out co-headlining tour with Aerosmith which is expected to be the top grossing tour of the year. In addition to being KISS’ primary singer and songwriter, his artistic and visual input has been seen in his designs of KISS album covers, stages and apparel. As an art major and graduate of the prestigious High School of Music and Art in New York City, Paul has returned to his passion for painting, to share with you the deep emotions his art conveys.
Paul Stanley creates purely abstract and emotionally charged compositions in which we are invited to experience his work as an object of the visceral…A state of mind detached from any unnecessary association with things or places tangible. The scale is huge, the paint laid on thickly, the colors have been chosen in order to generate a powerfully physical and emotional effect. Paul's work can be associated with the Abstract Expressionist of the late 1940's and 1950's. He aims to maximize the direct, physical impact of his painting through scale, texture, color and simplicity of images.
One sees in Paul’s work the influences of Kandisky, Mondrian, Malevitch, Paul Klee, Mark Rothko and other early pioneers of Abstraction.
